After spending 16 years in the construction industry with a number of firms, local native and University of Missouri graduate Greg Walton opened Walton Construction in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri in 1985.  Five regional offices have been opened since 1994, and Walton has become one of the largest construction firms in the Midwest.  A solid base in a variety of industries, including retail, healthcare and education, coupled with the growth in gaming, the explosion of lifestyle centers and the building boom in downtown Kansas City have only solidified Walton’s position.  On the horizon for the Kansas City office is growth in the region’s defense and military construction.
